A.S.K. History I was raised by a mother involved in music ministry. I witnessed firsthand the joys and sorrows of an artist. One day mom decided to start nurturing and guiding young people in music ministry. Gradually the plan to develop A.S.K. was formed, and I felt a burden to lead. A.S.K. Concepts: Cooperation- Rather than competing with one another, Christian artists are called to “esteem one another better than yourselves.” For survival reasons, Christian artists are often forced to promote themselves, which can be uncomfortable. A.S.K. aims to find creative ways around this by working together and promoting one another. Community- Another common pitfall of music ministry is the loneliness of the artist, who often travels on weekends and doesn’t see the local church family frequently. A.S.K. is a family of musicians who connect with and help one another, and also provide accountability. Ministry- Often artists are so busy living hand to mouth that they can’t donate much of their time in prisons, hospitals and other places in the community. It is the purpose of A.S.K. to provide grants for special projects so that artists can share their faith more freely. A.S.K. Needs: We need artists who are creative, driven, committed, visionary and generous. To apply for project support, click here (coming soon). We need supporters who wish to support young artists as they take their message to the highways and byways of the world.
